Microsoft is apparently planning to launch a Microsoft Office web-based application that will be accessible through the internet using browsers such as Internet Explorer, FireFox and yes, even the mobile Safari on the iPhone. According to a report from the New York Times, an updated version of the Google Mobile app will soon be released, and it will have voice recognition technology, enabling users to perform searches simply by speaking through the iPhone’s mouthpiece. The French carrier is going to cut the iPhone 3G price to 99 Euro for the holiday season. That’s $126 in US money for the $8GB model. And that’s a 45 Euro price drop from the initial price of the $8GB iPhone.

The 16GB iPhone 3G will also get a price cut although it’s not official yet. It’s rumored that the 16GB model will cost 129 Euro instead of just 199. In US dollars that’s a drop from $253 to $164. The offer will be available from November 13th to January 14th, so if in France, go iPhone!
