China Unicom to offer iPhone and G1 in China

China Unicom’s Shanghai subsidiary confirmed on Wednesday that its parent company has reached an agreement with Apple to bring the 3G iPhone to China, reports Sina.

Finally, Apple’s iPhone is heading to the huge China market. Instead of China Mobile, who has a larger market share and runs TD-SCDMA 3G network, the iPhone will be offered by China Unicom who has got the WCDMA 3G license in China.

The company is also going to launch the T-Mobile G1 Android phone. No words on availability and pricing.
