How to Get Someone’s Cell Phone Number

Tuesday, March 10th, 2009

Finding cell phone number is not easy when you do not have the right information or know where to look. The problem is that, cell phone numbers are not released to the public or published in your local phone book. This is because when cell phone first came out, cell phone usage time was way more expensive, and using a cell phone was for important issues only. People did not want to be bothered by unwanted phone calls and telemarketers, so laws were passed to protect cell phone numbers from being released to the public.

So what do you do if you want to lookup someone’s cell phone number? Well the logical thing to do is ask the person for their cell phone number the next time you see or talk to them. You can also friends to see if they can pass you the person’s number. Well that seems easy and all, but not all situations are that simple.

The first thing you can try when looking for someone’s cell phone number online is to use Google. Try entering the person’s name, nickname, email or any other information you have and see what comes up. Many people have some sort of online presence, whether this be a MySpace profile, or even eBay account. So if you come across a Facebook profile, you can message the person directly asking for the number. Sometimes people post their cell phone number on social network sites or when commenting on someone’s profile requesting a call.

The National Cell Phone Registry is better cell phone number finder, because it’s the largest database of cell phone numbers in North America. You can lookup cell phone numbers and reverse lookup phone numbers. This is not a free service, but the price is nothing is the information is important. You can also get a refund if the phone number is wrong.
